‘Dialogue’ reveals a state of encounter in which the image becomes a way of hearing the other and being heard. In this work, one senses the silence of communication, attentiveness and inner composure. It sounds like a simple human remark: shall we talk? This is precisely why the work is perceived as so gentle and profound. It does not impose meaning, but invites us to discover it. The inner question of this work arises naturally: can you hear the answer?
In Alexander Sigov’s artistic world, an image always carries a cultural layer and a symbolic dimension. This is particularly evident in *Dialogue*. A woman’s profile, a bird, an ornamental setting, a complex texture and a restrained colour palette form a space in which a conversation takes place not only between the figures or motifs, but also between the artwork and the viewer. Here, everything is built on a subtle interconnection: the figure is not separated from the background, the material world does not exist in isolation, and colour does not merely adorn but sustains the atmosphere.
For Sigov, ornamentation, surface and the inner luminosity of the composition are particularly important. In ‘Dialogue’, these qualities contribute to a sense of unhurried, profound communication. The bird, brought into the space of the painting, reinforces the motif of the messenger, of transition, of a subtle message. The female figure retains a sense of focus and inner distance. Thanks to this, the work is perceived as a space for attentive listening, where meaning is not revealed immediately, but gradually, as attention is paid.
